Radio Trailer
Radio trailer by hanny94
This is the radio trailer that my group made which is based upon the script we came up with which will be used in our final short film. We made the trailer dramatic and mysterious to keep the audience guessing throughout. Our trailer uses subjective voiceovers with one objective voiceover which is the film title and release date.

How important is online reviewing compared to more conventional channels such as TV, magazines and newspapers?
I feel that online reviewing is very important compared to TV, magazines and newspapers as many people now use the internet more that going out of their way to buy a magazine. Also online reviewing is much easier to do and can be less set-up by film companies. Also it can provide more viewers responces to the film and their ratings along with the official review. Personally I would trust the internet more as other people can post their views on the film freely and it is easier to get a more complete overview of the film. After reading the review for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides I decided against going to see it as the review said it had nothing on the other films and that it was a poor sequel.
I'm Here Empire Magazine Review
For this review I decided to set it out exactly how they do on the Empire website,
I also included many of the small features they do such as the star rating, reviewers name
and the overall verdict. For this review I decided to use a screen shot from the film of the
two main characters, as it helps to grab the viewers attention and makes them realise it isn't
an ordinary short film. It also introduces the charaters and theme of the film to the viewer
immediatley.
I'm Here Rotten Tomatoes Review
For this review I decided to lay it out the same way the Rotten Tomatoes website does
using the small details like the rating and the links to the stars and director. Rotten Tomatoes
often has a short plot summary followed by a short review which can be written by anyone
and chosen by the site as the most accurate review. I chose to use a long shot image as the
main image as it leaves a bit of intrigue as to what the story involves and who the characters
are. However it does show the genre as the two characters are holding hands within a
romantic setting which shows it is a short film within the romance genre.

Sci-Fi & Horror Scripts Evaluation
We firstly broke down the narrative into its key events: The hero arrives in the town, he finds the sign that the town isn't normal, one of the gangs ruins something of his, he then finds the two opposing gangs, one of the people invites him in and gives him information and sends him out on his task & he goes out and kills some people of a gang. Then after separating these events we used "Propp's" narrative theory to define the character types in our story, the hero - Steve, the villains - the aliens / zombies, the dispatcher, the helper and the donor - the survivors. We also considered generic conventions when coming up with our ideas, for horror we decided it needed either zombies or vampires as these are a typical convention of horror films, we also decided the sign of the town being unordinary had to be something to do with blood and guts as horror films use these a lot we also used the setting of texas as horror films are often set in small isolated places. For Sci-Fi we decided to stick to the idea of extra terrestrial life as this is often the theme of Sci-Fi movies, we also decided to set it in New York as most Sci-Fi films are set in major cities.
